Period 7

As soon as 6th period ended, I went to my English classroom early. I thought it might have been a good idea to tell Mr. Eckerson, my English teacher, what the situation with me is, because he would normally understand. Unfortunately, no one was there, and the room was dark. I looked out for a second and looked back in. the classroom was no longer even there.
It was now the senior courtyard alone, and it had a medieval look to it. I walked in through the door. It was almost as if I had stepped into a portal that transported me to a non-existent courtyard, with nothing surrounding it but forest. There were torches lit that had shown a trail to a pile of rocks. I walked over and the pile of rocks caught on fire, lighting up the dark courtyard even more.
Coming into the courtyard from the forest were more silhouettes, this time carrying someone. I quickly ran and hid behind a tree trunk to observe what was going on. They carried the body of someone and laid them on a table. I could now tell it was a girl. It wasn't my girlfriend Lindsay, I know for a fact. This girl had blonde hair, and Lindsay has brown.
Then I could tell who it was. But I didn't want to believe it. It was my friend Jayme, from my math class. The silhouettes left her on the table there. I could not find them from there. I ran up to the table and shook Jayme, trying to wake her up. Her eyes opened.
"Wh-Where am I?" she asked me.
"I'm not exactly sure but-," I looked up and saw one of the figures come back. I picked her up and ran her out of there as fast as I could.
"What the hell is going on?!?" she interrogated.
"Listen!" I said to her, "There's no time to explain right now, I've got to get you and me out of here as soon as possible!"
I got to the door. I was having a hard time opening it though. And then I started to hear it, the chant again. The same chant from Math.
"Where is that coming from?!?" Jayme asked me.
"Those things from Math class!" I replied
"What are you talking about?" I pointed to what I was talking about. The figure was behind us, and steam was coming from it. It lifted its cloak off. It was a disgusting figure, with festering parasites and welts all over its body. It had third degree burns allover as well, and was very bony looking. Its face was nothing but a mouth; no eyes, no nose, no ears, just a mouth. When it opened its mouth up, it had shown its jagged, yellow, bloody teeth at us. Jayme screeched at what she saw. I broke the window to the door and opened it. When we got out, I slammed the door shut, and it turned back into a classroom instantly. I stared for a moment, letting my ears ring and ring at the pain of the screech. She was now crying on my shoulder. I walked her all the way to the nurse. I told the nurse that she had a seizure, and that she needed to lie down. Before I left her, she jumped up and kissed me on the cheek, and told me not to tell anyone about what happened in the room. I walked to the classroom and saw that Eckerson was in there, teaching the class.

(Period 8 has been ommited, due to its unimportance)

Period 9

After lunch during 8th period, I headed strait to U.S. History class. I thought that maybe this would be the end of my troubles for the day. I got in, took notes, and answered all his questions. It was starting to get really humid in there though. And then I noticed it. Mr. Smith started to sound funny. His voice's frequency started to lower, and the side of his face started to deflate, as if he was having a stroke. Then, he started to melt fully, and turned into a puddle on the ground in a matter of minutes. As soon as he was done melting, three of those cloaked figures appeared into the room and started to feed on what was left of Mr. Smith. I screamed in fear, and the beast turned over to me and growled at me with its rotting mouth.
Then, the bell rang for second period. There was a large puddle of drool on my desk beside my face. Austin was shaking me intensively.
"Alright, Alright, I'm awake, dude!" I yelled at him.
"You sure didn't look it!" he joked, and we both got up out of our desks. Then, I picked up my novel for English class, The Courtyard Demons, and went off. It is such an enjoyable book
This is the final part of my short story for eckerson
